Undoubtedly, a designer's constant challenge is keeping their application up-to-date, not just with new features, but with the ever-changing design landscape. Designers must ensure that their changes are recognizable to their existing user base but ensure their application remains relevant.
Applications are constantly evolving, from creating new possibilities to sunsetting functions. But the unique task of evolving current features with new tools and requirements require deep consideration and compassionate design.

Designers work in toolkits like Figma, developers work in CSS
. I was lucky enough to be able to work quickly and implement my designs directly in code. However to meet other designers on their playground, a design system in Figma is necessary.
Every designer needs a portfolio, but paying for hosting fees and using another designer's template is lackluster. Designing, coding, maintenance, and hosting (not to mention DNS), can be tedious at best. However, as a front-end developer and designer, this was an opportunity to not just reflect on my work, but put it into practice.
