First things first, I'm Madison: a designer, front-end developer, dog owner, and Coloradoan. I love all things design from ceramics, painting, interior design, textiles, you name it. I decided to merge my passion with tech in a practical way: not only do I love creating the designs themselves, I find it deeply satisfying to create an organized front-end system with scalability in mind.
My career path started by watching a senior developer solve issues for my then job, and I decided I wanted to solve the problems myself. I completed a full-stack development program at the University of Denver, and joined the company's development team.
Putting my newfound skills to practice, I found I was best suited for prototyping; being able to bring stakeholders' vision straight to design through code, ready to pass off to a backend developer once approved.
In my time there I found my passion for solving complex software features through design: ensuring consistency, ease, and clear expectations for my users.
Outside of work, I enjoy hiking, ceramics, finding new dive bars, and Wikipedia rabbit holes.
